  1. What is the difference among the Coolsat 4000 Pro and the Pansat 2500A, 2700a?
    They are both FTA receivers. The difference is the Coolsat comes with much more features and simply out performs the Pansat 2500A. The Coolsat comes with Onscreen channel guide, universal remote control, free games built in and is card reader ready. Without a doubt the highest performing FTA receiver on the market today. Pansat 2500a and pansat 2700a are most the same functionalities, The major different between Pansat 2500a and Pansat 2700a is the build in memory. 1M for Pansat 2500a and 2M for pansat 2700a. With 2M memory, Pansat 2700a will change the channel and blind scan twice faster than Pansat 2700a

  5. What channels are pre installed?
    The authorized free to air software is preinstalled on all receivers. Customers can find authorized updates on the manufacturers site. For Pansat please visit http://www.pansatusa.com/download.htm. For Coolsat please visit http://www.coolsatusa.com/support.htm. It is greatly advised that you visit www.lyngsat.com to learn the channels and satellites available in your area.

     

  6. How many TV's can I run off one dish?
    The quantity of tv's that receive service depends on the diseqC switch that you use. If your diseqC switch has 2 outgoing ports then you can connect service to 2 tv's provided that you have a receiver for each tv.

  8. Do I need a receiver for each tv?
    Yes. For each tv to receive channels independantly you will need a receiver for each tv in your home.


  9. Can you tell me if this will work with a Direct TV System?
    No, this product does not work for Direct TV. Direct TV does not offer Free to Air Channels (FTA). Please check www.lyngsat.com to very the list of satellites in the atmosphere along with the available free to air channels available.


  10. Is this product legal?
    Yes it is 100% legal. Free to Air channels are broadcast for everyone's enjoyment.

    Factory Password is 0000. The Master Reset Password is 1668.

    Hello, The Coolsat has the latest "authorized" firmware already preinstalled into the unit. For the "unauthorized" program to test other channels you must visit www.al7bar.tk. The techs there are very knowledgeable on that subject but they are very impatient when dealing with newbies so I suggest that you preview their "newbie" section before you post a question. Downloading "unauthorized" programs could be illegal and will definitely void your warranty.
